A Touch of Madness Podcast: Return of the Talkbackers

Head on over to  THE-NEWSBOX  and check it out !

“For a dozen years guys like ORCUS and KEVIN WILLIS have flooded the tack back boards with comments, speculation, and wishes concerning Star Wars. Whole web sites rose and fell around the concept of new movies. Infamous talk backers like RAZZBENDER & JMAN made a name for themselves and started their own sites.
Gathered together for the first time on A TOUCH OF MADNESS podcast, host RJD wrestles with the personalities, egos, and chaos as men who have posted over 500 pages of STAR WARS talkbacks let their voices be heard for the first time.  A must hear episode for talkbackers, star wars fans, and fans of undead Lords.”

As always It’s up in the air with these predictions. The Actor, Actress and Director awards are the ones i’m most confident about. Supporting categories this year has been a problem due to the fact I have not seen many of the contenders films. The technical awards are a crapshoot really , and the big prize for Best Motion Picture could really swing either way. Spotlight was my favourite of the bunch, but The Revenant could easily take the prize.

Update : The show is done and dusted.

These are the winners of the 88th annual Academy Awards.

Best Picture: “Spotlight”

Direction: “The Revenant,” Alejandro G. Iñárritu

Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio, “The Revenant”

My spoiler-free thoughts on The Force Awakens!

By @RareEnglishRose

So the film is being received quite differently here. Some are taking the similarities to the original trilogy as blasphemy, and are angry about it.  Others are finding these similarities to be one of the reasons for liking the film.

Of course nobody can be said to be right on this matter.  It’s like the quarrels about which religion is right. Or who is interpreting the religion correctly.  There is no right answer here. But reading the different views is quite fun me thinks. And note that the Dark Side can´t write a review without spoilers.    Quicker, easier, more seductive.

The Force Awakens is currently holding at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes , so it’s nowhere near as good as The Wizard of Oz ( ? )

Apparently it made over $100 million on Friday alone. And it is set to beat the weekend record currently held by Jurassic World.  That $4B deal that Disney made is looking like the steal of the century as analysts predict that the Star Wars The Force Awakens merchandising alone will bring in over $5B  the FIRST YEAR. Damn.
