Oscar winner J.K. Simmons has been cast as the Gotham City police commissioner. This is pretty great casting. Although I very much enjoyed the previous version where Gary Oldman played the character.
Recently J.K responded to the petition for bringing him back as J.Jonah Jameson for The Spectacular Spider-Man, saying he would be open to return to the role., This however might be closing that door ? Not that I think JJJ is set to appear onscreen in the first outing for Tom Holland as the wall crawler.
Due to start filming in April, “Justice League Part One” is scheduled to open on November 17, 2017, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will first be seen as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in Turkish Airlines commercial “Batman v Superman v Cave Troll: Dawn of Justice” March 25, 2016. Well, March 22th for me 😉
Obviously this is a big deal for J.K . He has that Oscar which i bet raises his payday. Justice League ( Part One and Two ) might not feature his character a whole lot, but then there is the standalone Batman film(s) which Ben Affleck will direct and star inn. Hopefully Simmons will knock it out of the park so to speak.
What say you to this casting. Will J.K do a better job than Oldman ? Who is your fav Gordon so far ?Any love for Pat Hingle ?
Exclusive to the internet 🙂
Oscar winner J.K Simmons has joined the cast of The Snowman. Currently filming on location in Oslo, Norway ,The Snowman is based on the seventh book in the series by Jo Nesbø. Michael Fassbender stars as the hardboiled Oslo detective Harry Hole investigating a number of recent murders of women around Oslo. His experience of an earlier training course with the FBI leads him to search for links between the cases, and he finds two – each victim is a married mother and after each murder a snowman appears at the murder scene.
Jakob Oftebro, Sofia Helin and David Dencik also join the cast.
English actor James D’Arcy ( Marvels Agent Carter ) has also been confirmed to have a role in the film.
Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) directs, with Working Title’s dynamic duo Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner producing alongside Robyn Slovo and Piodor Gustafsson (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo). A Working Title Films production—in association with Another Park Film—the project is exec produced by Nesbø, Niclas Salomonsson, Martin Scorsese, Alfredson, Liza Chasin and Amelia Granger.
Val Kilmer has joined the cast in what he describes as a cameo. He has been putting up pictures from his stay in Oslo on his social media accounts for the past few days.
Universal Pictures has dated The Snowman for release on October 13, 2017
J.K. Simmons and Michael Keaton have both dropped out of Legendary Pictures and Universal’s Kong: Skull Island because the script is awful . Production on the film was set to begin this fall but was recently delayed because the script caused actors to womit. Legendary is currently seeking to replace the two actors in the film rather then get a decent script, which still has Tom Hiddleston, attached to star for the time being.
Set for release on March 10, 2017, Kong: Skull Island aims to fully take advantage of king kongs cult following. The studio doesn’t really give a shit, or know shit about the property, which is what the exiting actors figured out.
The Kings of Summer‘s Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct the film ( RED FLAG !! ) from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein. Thomas Tull ( Pacific Rim : RED FLAG nr 2 !!!) and Jon Jashni will produce and Alex Garcia (Godzilla) will executive produce.
