Aquaman Release Pushed Back Two Months

Warner and his Brothers have decided to push back the release of their Aquaman feature film by two months. Why they are doing this is unknown. It was previously set to go up against the rebooted Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Originally slated for an Oktober release next year, the Aquaman feature will now go head to head with Sony’s animated Spider-Man feature on December 2nd. That was originally when James Cameron´s Avatar 2 was scheduled for release. If Aquaman can beat out the animated Spidey it only has 4 days before Disney releases the returning Mary Poppins starring Emily Blunt. Which very well might slay the fisher king during the christmas cinema season.

All this is of course completely hypothetical as the James Wan film has not even begun shooting yet. Aquaman will see the return of Jason Momoa in the role, having made a brief unintentionally hilarious debut in Hack Snyder’s critically slammed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Before all this we will see more of the fisher king in the forthcoming Justice League, coming to cinemas November 17, 2017.

Other cast members from Aquaman include Nicole Kidman , Temuera Morrison , Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II ,and Willem Dafoe. Solid cast that.

Aquaman will hopefully begin shooting in April with director James Wan. That is if no more behind the scenes shit happens, and Wan abandons ship. The biggest problem for me is that Hack Snyder is the producer and that he is credited with coming up with the story. There is a possibility that its as shitty as the previous DCeU films.

No word yet on the even more troubled Flash production. But I think its safe to say that Flash will not be in theatres March 2018.

  • it will clean up over Christmas. Mark my words.

    • Lets hope. An underwater caper might also lend itself to the 3D gimmick. But it seems weird. I believe it would have beat the Girl In The Spider’s Web, but Im reading now that Sony is planning to have VENOM released on that date. Maybe that’s why Aquaman was pushed ? Idk…… Seems stupid of Sony to set up two of their own films on the same date.
